Secrets to Making Money

It’s not all roses for the PS3 following further developments on the thriving PS3 hacking front today, as the group responsible for the Wii’s Homebrew Channel, going by the slightly counter-intuitive moniker of fail0verflow have turned their attention to Sony‘s pride and joy and have summarily proceeded to strip it of its secrets. If you go by their word, at least.

The hack apparently enables them to gain “full control of the PS3 system,” not as a means to illegally reduced video game expenditures you see, but solely in the interests of enabling every PS3 firmware and variant to run Linux. And here we were asking ourselves why it took four years for people to hack this thing. There’s probably a lesson here, somewhere, Sony. Something about giving people what they want or the ones who can will just take it. And never ever give them what they want, then take it away again, unless you want your “Private keys” in the press. Something along those lines.

In any case, Hillary Clinton was never able to shake off the impression that she plays loose with truth.  It became only more pronounced as the years went by.  In 2008, Carl Bernstein (of Watergate fame) wrote this in a piece called "Hillary Clinton: Truth or Consequences": "Hillary Clinton has many admirable qualities, but candor and openness and transparency and a commitment to well-established fact have not been notable among them."

Many people are looking for the keys to making a living online without having to make a hefty investment into someone else's program, or buying someone else's book that tells you how to do it. I nearly gave up on making a living online when I first started because as far as I could tell it could not be done without paying someone to show me how to do it. Like most people when they are just starting I got scammed a few times, lost some money, and thought to myself, "They are all scammers, there is no legitimate way to make a living online." Well, I'm here to tell you today, that I was dead wrong. You can make a living online, and you can do so without investing a penny.

There are some things you need to know if you want to be successful at making a living doing online work. It's not all roses as some people who work from home and online suggest. There are pitfalls if you aren't careful, and it can be very easy to get sucked into those pitfalls if you aren't paying attention.

Secret #1: You have to be willing to work. There are some ways that you can allow your computer to make money for you, but even those can take some time to set up. If you are under the impression you can just sit back and watch the money roll in then working online isn't for you. You simply must be willing to put time and energy into this undertaking for it to be profitable.

Secret #2: You will be more successful if you are willing to put in regular working hours. What I mean by this is having an actual working schedule and sticking to it as much as possible. Sure, life happens, and no one is never going to be interrupted by life, that happens even when you work a 9 to 5 job. However, the more you can stick to a schedule, the more you'll get done and the better you'll feel.

Secret #3: You have to be organized. Organization is the key, particularly if you do more than one thing online to make money. Being organized will not only help you make more money, it will allow you to add new things that come along that you really want to do that will add more income.

Secret #4: Keep a running list of exactly what you are doing to generate income. When I first started out I didn't do this and boy am I sorry for it now! Because I didn't do this in the beginning I lost track of or quit doing some things that if I had kept at it would have made me some serious money. So, keep track of exactly what you are doing to make money online. The best way to do this is to create a spreadsheet and then log into it when you do something such as submit an article to Associated Content for example.

Secret #5: Keep track of your earnings. So, not only do you want to keep track of exactly what you are doing, you want to keep track of your earnings as well. This is not just for tax purposes, although this is one of the main reasons, but also so you can see exactly how much income you are generating per month. I was astonished at how well I was actually doing each month once I was keeping track of what I was doing and what I was making for what I was doing. It really helps, so keep track of those earnings!

Secret #6: Diversify based on your talents. What I mean by this for example is if writing is one of your talents, then do things such as writing articles for Associated Content, and Constant Content, and get paid to Blog to name a few ways to make money writing. Or let's say you love to shop, that you can sniff a bargain out at less than ten paces. Why not become a secret shopper, or maybe get paid to fill out surveys on new products? These are only a few examples, but you get the idea.

Secret #7: Do not, I repeat do not pay anyone to teach you how to make money online. If you think the secret to making money online is to invest in someone else's program, or to complete offers, or buy someone's book that tells you all the big secrets then you are going to be less likely to make money online. The fact of the matter is if something looks too good to be true, phrases such as the following come to mind, "Make $20,000 in the first month using my program!" then it probably is. What you want to keep in mind is that you want to make a living working online, if you happen to become wealthy while doing so, great! But keep in mind this rare.

If you are someone that likes to read books on how to make money online, consider all the free e-books available for download online by entrepreneurs. There are thousands, trust me, you can download them to your heart's content and never run out of reading material. If there is a book you feel you just must have, visit your local library, chances are it is there. That way you don't spend your hard earned cash on a book that may or may not have some good ideas about making money online.

And these are the secrets to making a living online. If you apply them all, you are bound to do well with your online ventures. Ignore them and the cost to you could be more than money.
